Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in Bordeaux, I was delighted by a charming accommodation that successfully blended traditional and modern elements. The building, steeped in character, offered spacious rooms equipped with air conditioning—a welcome feature during an unexpected late summer heatwave. Its location across from La Tupina provided convenient dining options, while the ten-minute stroll into the vibrant heart of Bordeaux allowed for a delightful daily walk. The hotel staff were both knowledgeable and friendly, always eager to assist with recommendations about the neighborhood, one of Bordeaux’s last areas to embrace gentrification. Engaging with fellow guests during the complimentary reception created a sense of community, enriching my overall experience. the views from the nearby Basilica de St Michel were spectacular and offered a unique perspective of the city. I can confidently recommend this accommodation for travelers seeking an authentic experience in Bordeaux.
